Position Summary
The intern works with the Human Resources and Operations teams to ensure operational excellence for the city. The work will primarily involve co-executing structures with the Operations team. The intern will be responsible for managing and placing volunteers across the city. The intern will also play a critical role in managing the various aspects of communication to our Fellows in the city as well as being part of any projects/ events that are headed by Human Resources.
Responsibilities
Operations:
- Co-leading and executing processes with the Operations team to achieve excellence in finance and logistics
- Arranging venues for citywide events through different contacts and partnerships
- Managing various systems to handle finance for Fellows
Communication:
- Collecting and presenting the stories of Fellows in classrooms and alumni members from across the city
- Designing a newsletter targeting external stakeholders
Volunteers:
- Maintaining volunteer database and placing volunteers in required classrooms
- Tracking volunteers and their performance in classrooms
- Ensuring volunteers receive experience certificates post their volunteering
Knowledge and Technical Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Excellent relationship building and networking skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications
- Proficiency in general research tools
